01, The ritual
Come to the counter and meet the day's catch, still glistening from the sea. Choose your fish with our guidance: its weight, its character, the best way to cook it.
Minutes later it arrives at your table, kissed by charcoal and dressed only in olive oil and lemon. From the sea to your plate, with nothing in between but fire and care.
02, The golden hour
Our terrace leans out over the water, facing west across the bay to the uninhabited island of Despotiko. As evening comes, the light turns gold, the sea turns to glass, and dinner becomes something closer to a ceremony.
Ask for a waterfront table, order a carafe of chilled house wine, and let the Aegean do the rest.
03, The taverna's beach
The calm, sheltered bay beside us is officially named Agios Georgios, though many simply call it “the Captain Pipinos beach.” Crystal-clear, peaceful water, protected from the wind: swim before lunch, doze in the sun after, and return to the table for coffee and portokalopita.
04, Across the water
Just across the water lies Despotiko, an uninhabited island of silver beaches, wandering goats and the ancient sanctuary of Apollo, where archaeologists are still uncovering a 2,600-year-old story.
